After proceeding to checkout, you will be prompted to enter your shipping information. Underneath this section is a form, allowing you to simply tick the vat-exempt declaration box and specify the primary long-term illness or disability that either yourself, or the person you are buying for suffers from. VAT will then automatically be removed from your order as you proceed. Charities are also exempt from paying VAT, and can do so by simply ticking the relevant box.
The answer is yes, so long as either yourself, or the person you are purchasing the goods for are chronically sick or have a disabling condition, and the goods are for personal/domestic use only. Charities are also exempt from paying VAT, and can do so by simply ticking the relevant box, and entering their charity number. This number will be quickly verified by us before dispatch of your order.
If the person the goods are intended for does not have any specific long-term medical conditions, by law they must purchase (and proceed through checkout) without applying for VAT exemption. If you have a short-term injury, or simply use the term 'old age', this would not make you eligible. Any organization that does not have a registered charity number (such as businesses) are also not exempt from paying VAT.
The next working day when ordered before 2pm. Orders made on weekends will be delivered on Tuesday.
Provided you leave a mobile number at checkout, you will get updates by text (and also email) with a time-slot on the day of delivery, with the option to follow the delivery driver live to see how far away they are.
We deliver to the Great British mainland (England, Scotland & Wales) only. We can also deliver to any GB outlying islands for an extra courier fee, please call us to check before ordering. As an example, Isle of Wight generally costs approximately £40 extra for delivery.
Yes you can collect from our premesis if you wish, just make sure you call us before ordering to arrange an appointment to come and collect. We can have your hoist ready to take away with a demonstration, with or without the box as you wish.
We will offer to replace the hoist without quarrel, so long as you notify us within 48 hours of the order being tracked as delivered.
14 days starting from when it tracks as being delivered to you.

We only charge restocking fees when absolutely neccessary in the following scenarios:
Any restocking fees charged are only used for, and proportionate to, the cost of restoring a product to a resealable condition.
Please note that in line with the consumer contracts regulations, any engineer delivery options added are non-refundable as it is an upgraded/paid delivery option.

Hoists need to be inspected and repaired in-house, so we will uplift it from your home to our workshop free of charge.
If you are close enough to our premesis in Wiltshire, you are also welcome to bring the hoist in for a workshop repair. Our engineer can discuss the problem with you, and will normally have it fixed within 1 working day. There is no need to wait for the repair, we will deliver the hoist back to you by courier for your convenience.
The Hercules runs off the battery from your scooter or powerchair, provided the electronics run on 24v, such as scooters manufactured by Solax, and doesn’t need an outside power source. This lift comes folded in the box but fully assembled - no tools required.
To begin, simply unfold the unit, raise the telescopic ladder, connect the power cable to the charging port on the scooter's handlebar. When you hit the switch on the side of the motor box, the Hercules Lift does all that heavy lifting for you.
The wheels allow you to get closer to, or further away from the boot of your car, SUV, or van when placing your scooter inside and the rear braking system allows you to raise and lower the lift safely.
Once your scooter is inside the trunk, simply fold up the unit and place it inside the boot or back seat of your car. With the Solax MobHercules Lift, a two-person job becomes a one-person job.
